Hooch is crazy.
Watch Scrubs.
So I'll be out of town for a few weeks but expect a young urban professional's guide to flying internationally business class, getting around Moscow, drinking Vodka, avoiding the KGB, and sailing the BVI's- and in an unrelated note, non-sequitors.

After five of the six tried to sneak the tab onto their expense reports at Barclays, they were fired and mocked the world over.
Gordon T. Anderson, CNN

Don't let your ego expense a meal your company won't pay for.

Sometimes after putting in ridiculous hours, we actually believe we deserve those outrageous dinners. While expense accounts are a great corporate perk that we should all utilize, it would be wise to exercise more caution than these guys. $63,000 is quite a dinner, especially for six people!

As a general rule, only expense things you would feel comfortable explaining to your CEO or client. If you think your boss would be suspicious of a bottle of 1947 Château Pétrus for $17,500, pay for it out of your own pocket and keep your job.

However when the sky is the limit (i.e. your CEO is doing the expensing), allow me to recommend the following list of the world's 50 top restaurants.

Where do we keep all our chainsaws, Mom?
Calvin of Calvin and Hobbes

You've got a job now. Mother's Day is this Sunday. Buy her something nice. Moms like flowers, they like spas, but mostly they like to hear from you and know that you put some thought and effort into their gifts. To eliminate the need here is a list of ideas to help you slackers out.

You don't need a special day to be nice to your parents. They got you to where you are today. Nothing makes you look more polished than showing appreciation where it is due.

Fathers send their sons to college either because they went to college or because they didn't.
L. L. Henderson

Only 1 out of every 4 Americans has a Bachelor's degree or higher. Georgia thinks a degree from their university system is worth an average of $14,000/year in additional earnings, while the Census Bureau says a degree gets you about $1 million more over the course of your life.

No wonder the US News & World Report creates a report that ranks their list of best colleges by value...

George Carlin

Go live where the money is.

They don't call it the Golden State for nothing. California has half of the top ten ZIPs in on Forbes Most Expensive Zip Codes 2005. Cali also represents nearly two-thirds of the top 25. "Remember that as a teenager you are at the last stage of your life when you will be happy to hear that the phone is for you."
Fran Lebowitz

Ever been enjoying a special event when you hear an annoying cellphone ring? Whether it's at the movies, a lecture, or an important meeting, cellphones can very quickly disrupt a whole environment -- especially with all those catchy free ringtones these days!

Fear not -- cell phone jammers are here to save the day! Since cellphones need two frequencies to operate (one to talk and one to listen), cellphone jammers simply transmit a signal on one of the same frequencies as a cellphone. If the power level is right, the signals collide and cancel each other out. High-powered units can create a cell-phone free zone of as large as a football field. Units used by law enforcement can shut down service for a 1-5 mile radius.

There are even rumors that some hotel chains use cellphone jammers to encourage you to use their expensive in-house phone system. However this, in addition to ANY type of cellphone jamming is illegal! In the meantime, just keep your phone on vibrate and encourage others to do the same.

I find the great thing in this world is not so much where we stand, as in what direction we are moving -- we must sail sometimes with the wind and sometimes against it -- but we must sail, and not drift, nor lie at anchor.
Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr.

Moving up the corporate ladder quickly may neccessitate frequent relocation. If you do have the luxury of staying where you are, chances are you will be able to upgrade your accomodations. To help you find your new pad check out the ridiculous combination of google maps and craigslist here.

If you are interested Google Labs has lots of cool tools it's working on like a picture organizer to help you keep track of all those great memories at your old place and a desktop search to keep you from losing any important relocation information on your computer.

To help you afford that new pad, get some Google stock. The price has more than doubled in less than a year.
